Named for the Battle of Cape St. George — fought on November 25, 1943, when Commander Arleigh Burke's DesRon 23 intercepted and destroyed a Japanese destroyer force in the Solomon Islands — USS Cape St. George (CG-71) carried that fighting legacy through more than two decades of Aegis cruiser service. Commissioned in January 1993, she served in the Gulf War's aftermath, the Global War on Terror, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, deploying to the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean time and again. Show your pride for this storied warship with this embroidered apron.
