    When Operation Iraqi Freedom was launched on March 20, 2003, USS Cape St. George (CG-71) was there — firing Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles from the Eastern Mediterranean and Indian Ocean in support of coalition forces crossing into Iraq. Named for the Battle of Cape St. George, a 1943 engagement defined by aggressive precision, CG-71 lived up to her name when it mattered most. The 2003 MED/IO deployment placed her crew at the center of one of the most significant naval actions of the modern era. This long sleeve shirt honors every sailor who served during that historic deployment.
