USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) w/ Eagle Neck Gaiter

USS Coral Sea served under the designation CVA-43 — Attack Aircraft Carrier — through nearly three decades before her 1975 redesignation. From her earliest deployments through six Vietnam combat cruises, she exemplified the attack carrier concept and kept the Pacific watch through some of the most demanding years of the Cold War. Every sailor who served aboard CVA-43 was part of a ship that carried more than its share of the load.
