USS Cowpens (CG-63) Ship's Crest Mug

Named for the Battle of Cowpens — where Brigadier General Daniel Morgan's Continental Army outmaneuvered and defeated a superior British force in 1781 — USS Cowpens (CG-63) carried that legacy into every deployment. Commissioned in 1991, she served as a Ticonderoga-class Aegis guided missile cruiser with Carrier Strike Group 5 in the Western Pacific, building a record of forward presence deployments, humanitarian response, and sustained readiness that honored the battle that gave her her name.
