USS Coral Sea (CV-43) was the ship that never stopped sailing. Commissioned in 1947 as one of America's new Midway-class carriers, she served through the Korean War, six combat cruises during Vietnam, and more than a decade of Cold War Pacific deployments before finally retiring in 1990. Forty-two years of service — every watch stood, every deployment made, every sailor who walked her decks now carries a piece of her history.
