USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) is a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier commissioned on July 12, 2003. Named for the 40th President of the United States, she was the only active U.S. Navy ship named after a living former president at the time of her commissioning. Homeported in Yokosuka, Japan, Reagan serves as the centerpiece of Carrier Strike Group 5, America's forward-deployed naval force in the Western Pacific.
