USS Ranger (CV-61) was a Forrestal-class aircraft carrier commissioned on August 10, 1957, homeported at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California. During her final 1992-93 deployment, Ranger participated in Operation Restore Hope, the U.S.-led humanitarian intervention in Somalia that began in December 1992. The operation provided security for famine relief efforts in war-torn Somalia. This vinyl sticker commemorates Ranger's participation in Operation Restore Hope — a mission of mercy during the legendary carrier's last deployment before her decommissioning on July 10, 1993.
