USS Ross (DDG-71) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned on June 28, 1997. Named for Medal of Honor recipient Chief Machinist's Mate Donald K. Ross, who maintained power to Pearl Harbor's battleships under enemy fire on December 7, 1941, DDG-71 is forward deployed to Naval Station Rota, Spain, in support of NATO and 6th Fleet operations.
