USS Stethem (DDG-63) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned on 21 January 1995, named in honor of Petty Officer Second Class Robert Dean Stethem, a Navy diver murdered by Hezbollah terrorists during the hijacking of TWA Flight 847 in June 1985. His bravery under captivity and sacrifice remain an enduring symbol for the U.S. Navy. Homeported in Yokosuka, Japan, Stethem serves with the forward-deployed 7th Fleet.
