In 2016, USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) continued her unbroken vigil as the flagship of U.S. 7th Fleet, forward-deployed to Yokosuka, Japan — a post she has maintained continuously since 1979, making her the longest-serving forward-deployed ship in the U.S. Navy.
