USS Chung-Hoon (DDG-93) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned in 2004 and named for Rear Admiral Gordon Pai'ea Chung-Hoon, a Medal of Honor recipient who fought heroically at the Battle of Leyte Gulf in World War II. Homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Chung-Hoon is one of the few Navy ships named for a person of Asian-Pacific Islander heritage, honoring both his valor and his Hawaiian roots. She has deployed throughout the Pacific in joint operations with allied navies.
