USS Cole (DDG-67) Spiral Notebook

USS Cole (DDG-67) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned in 1996 and named for Sergeant Darrell S. Cole, a Marine Corps bugler who was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his heroism at Iwo Jima in 1945. Cole became a symbol of American naval resilience after a suicide bombing in the port of Aden, Yemen on October 12, 2000, killed 17 sailors. Rebuilt and returned to service, she continues as a testament to the strength of her crew and the Navy's enduring spirit.
