How to measure: lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface. Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem (length), then compare to the chart.

The 1983 deployment of USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) came during one of the most dangerous years of the Cold War. Lebanon was in crisis — the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut was bombed in October 1983, killing 241 Americans, and a U.S. intervention in Grenada followed weeks later. Ike and her battle group operated in the Mediterranean as these events unfolded, part of the naval force positioned to respond and project power through an autumn of multiple crises. The sailors who deployed on Ike in 1983 served through a period of genuine operational tension, with the ship at high readiness when the world demanded it.
