USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) — "Ike" — deployed in 2021, leading Carrier Strike Group 2 with Carrier Air Wing 3 embarked. After operating in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, she moved into the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and remained on station in the North Arabian Sea to cover the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, returning to Norfolk in July 2021.
