The USS Essex (CVS-9) ship's crest on a 12″ × 17″ garden flag — a clean, understated way for veterans and families to fly the ship's colors at home or at the next reunion.

Commissioned on December 31, 1942, USS Essex was the lead ship of the Essex-class aircraft carriers. She served the Navy for 27 years before decommissioning on June 30, 1969. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
