Commissioned on November 17, 1984, USS Gary was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, homeported at Naval Base San Diego. She served the Navy for 31 years before decommissioning on July 23, 2015. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
