USS Halsey

Commissioned in 2005, the Halsey honors Fleet Admiral William F. 'Bull' Halsey, the most aggressive naval commander America produced in the Second World War. From Guadalcanal to the surrender ceremony in Tokyo Bay, Halsey drove his forces hard and took the fight to the enemy at every opportunity—not always without controversy, but always without hesitation. The Halsey carries his fighting spirit forward on every deployment.
