USS John C. Stennis

The Stennis, commissioned in 1995, carried the name of a senator who shaped American defense policy for four decades, and she lived up to that legacy with distinction. From Operation Southern Watch to Operation Enduring Freedom, CVN-74 was in the fight when it mattered. Her sailors know that the Stennis asks a lot—long cruises, hard work, and time away from home—but they also know there is no finer sea duty afloat.
