USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) 1996-97 Cruise Sweatshirt

<p>USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was a Kitty Hawk-class supercarrier commissioned on April 29, 1961. Her 1996–97 Western Pacific deployment was one of her final cruises from her home port at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, before she was reassigned as the Navy's forward-deployed carrier in Yokosuka, Japan. Carrier Air Wing Eleven flew missions throughout the Pacific region, maintaining American presence and deterrence during a period of tension on the Korean Peninsula. This sweatshirt commemorates all who served aboard her during that cruise.</p>
