Commissioned on September 26, 1987, USS Leyte Gulf was a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, homeported at Naval Station Norfolk. She served the Navy for 37 years before decommissioning on September 20, 2024. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
