USS Louisville (SSN-724) is a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine commissioned on November 8, 1986 and named for Kentucky's largest city. She made history during Operation Desert Storm as the first submarine ever to fire Tomahawk cruise missiles in combat, on January 19, 1991, and later supported Operation Iraqi Freedom.
