Commissioned on June 16, 1990, USS Monterey was a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, homeported at Naval Station Norfolk. She served the Navy for 32 years before decommissioning on September 16, 2022. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
