USS Mustin (DDG-89) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer named for the Mustin family, one of the most celebrated naval families in American history — including Vice Admiral Henry C. Mustin, the first naval aviator to fire a gun from an aircraft, and subsequent generations of Mustin naval officers. Forward-deployed to Yokosuka, Japan, she operates with the Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific, conducting freedom-of-navigation operations in the South China Sea.
