USS Philippine Sea (CG-58) is a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser commissioned on March 18, 1989, homeported in Mayport, Florida. Named for the June 1944 Battle of the Philippine Sea, she is equipped with the Aegis Combat System and armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles and Standard Missiles for fleet defense. During her 1992 deployment commemorated by this sweatshirt, Philippine Sea operated in the Mediterranean and supported post-Desert Storm naval presence operations in the region.
