USS Ranger (CV-61) 1991 Framed Cruise Poster

This framed cruise poster commemorates USS Ranger (CV-61)'s 1990-91 Persian Gulf deployment for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Departing Alameda December 8, 1990 with Carrier Air Wing TWO embarked, Ranger transited to the North Arabian Sea and entered the Persian Gulf, where she launched strike sorties against Iraqi forces beginning January 17, 1991. She remained on station throughout the air campaign and the 100-hour ground war, returning home in June 1991 after one of the most intense combat tempos of any carrier in the Gulf War. This poster is a tribute to her crew and the legacy of Ranger's final combat cruise.
