Commissioned on June 30, 1984, USS Rentz was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, homeported at Naval Base San Diego. She served the Navy for 30 years before decommissioning on May 23, 2014. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
