USS Rentz (FFG-46) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigate commissioned September 18, 1984 at Todd Shipyards in San Pedro, California. Homeported in San Diego, Rentz served as an escort and anti-submarine warfare platform throughout her career. The ship was named for Father George Rentz, a Navy chaplain who selflessly gave his life jacket to another sailor and perished in the waters of Guadalcanal in November 1942, an act of heroism that earned him the Navy Cross posthumously.
Honor Rentz's legacy with this classic crew-neck sweatshirt featuring the ship's crest. Pre-shrunk fleece construction, ribbed cuffs and waistband, and a comfortable relaxed fit.
