USS Roosevelt (DDG-80) 2002 MAIDEN DEPLOYMENT Unisex Sweatshirt

USS Roosevelt (DDG-80) conducted her maiden deployment in 2002 following her commissioning on October 14, 2000. Named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, this Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer departed Naval Station Mayport, Florida, sailing with carrier strike group forces during a period of heightened operational tempo in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. Armed with the Aegis Combat System, Standard Missiles, and Tomahawk cruise missiles, Roosevelt provided multi-mission capability across air defense, surface warfare, and precision strike. This sweatshirt commemorates the Sailors who served aboard DDG-80 during that first historic deployment.
