USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG-58) is an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned on April 12, 1986. Named for Medal of Honor recipient Boatswain's Mate Second Class Samuel Booker Roberts Jr., killed at Tulagi in 1942, she is best remembered for surviving a catastrophic mine strike in the Persian Gulf on April 14, 1988. Her crew's heroic damage control efforts saved the ship, earning her the enduring title The Ship That Would Not Die. Homeported at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, FFG-58 stands as one of the most celebrated feats of seamanship and damage control in modern naval history. This vinyl sticker features the official Ship's Crest of USS Samuel B. Roberts and honors all who served aboard her.
