Commissioned on January 29, 1983, USS Underwood was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, homeported at Naval Station Mayport. She served the Navy for 30 years before decommissioning on March 8, 2013. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
