USS Vandegrift (FFG-48) Spiral Notebook

The USS Vandegrift (FFG-48) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate of the United States Navy, commissioned on August 24, 1984. Named for General Alexander A. Vandegrift, USMC — who led Marines at Guadalcanal in 1942 and later served as Marine Corps Commandant — she served the Pacific Fleet and became the first U.S. warship to visit Vietnam after the war.
