Commissioned on September 18, 1993, USS Vella Gulf was a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, homeported at Naval Station Norfolk. She served the Navy for 29 years before decommissioning on August 4, 2022. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
