Strike Fighter Squadron 125 (VFA-125), the "Rough Raiders," was the first F/A-18 Hornet Fleet Replacement Squadron, established in 1980 at NAS Lemoore, California. VFA-125 trained West Coast aviators through the early Hornet era, pioneering the aircraft's integration into carrier aviation before being disestablished in 1998.
