VFA-34 "Blue Blasters" flew the F/A-18C/D Hornet from NAS Oceana, Virginia, assigned to Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1) and deploying aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Originally established as VA-34 and one of the Navy's legendary A-6E Intruder medium attack squadrons, the Blue Blasters transitioned to the F/A-18 Hornet and continued a distinguished record of Atlantic Fleet strike operations before disestablishment in 2014.
