USS Ranger was the third Forrestal-class supercarrier, commissioned as CVA-61 in 1957 and the only ship of her class to serve her entire career in the Pacific Fleet. Redesignated CV-61 in 1975, she made repeated Western Pacific and Indian Ocean deployments until her decommissioning in 1993.
This heavyweight letterman jacket commemorates Ranger's 1991 Operation Desert Storm deployment — the only West Coast carrier in the Persian Gulf for the air war over Iraq and Kuwait.
This is the map edition, featuring the cruise's route and ports of call on the back.
