The USS Klakring (FFG-42) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate of the United States Navy, commissioned on January 20, 1983. Named for Rear Admiral Thomas Klakring, a World War II submarine ace who earned three Navy Crosses, she served with the Atlantic Fleet conducting surface warfare, counter-drug, and fleet escort missions throughout her career.
