The USS Ponce (LPD-15) was an Austin-class amphibious transport dock of the United States Navy, commissioned on July 10, 1971. Named for Ponce, Puerto Rico, she served 41 years as an amphibious warship before decommissioning as an LPD in 2012 — then was immediately recommissioned as AFSB(I)-15, an Afloat Forward Staging Base, supporting special operations in the Persian Gulf until 2015.
This spiral notebook features the ship's official crest on a deep navy cover with a detailed ship biography on the reverse — a lasting tribute for veterans, families, and collectors who served aboard her.
