USS Tortuga (LSD-46) Spiral Notebook

USS Tortuga (LSD-46) is a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship commissioned in 1990 and homeported in Little Creek, Virginia. Named for Tortuga Island — the historic Caribbean pirate haven — Tortuga supports Marine amphibious operations by transporting landing craft, vehicles, and equipment. She has deployed with Amphibious Ready Groups to the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf, and beyond, supporting combat and humanitarian operations.
