USS Intrepid (CVS-11) Spiral Notebook

USS Intrepid (CVS-11) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier whose toughness in the Pacific earned her the nickname “The Fighting I.” She survived kamikaze strikes and torpedo hits to fight on through World War II, later serving as an attack carrier off Vietnam and as a recovery ship for the Mercury and Gemini space programs. Reclassified CVA-11 in 1952 and CVS-11 in 1962, she was decommissioned in 1974 and is today a museum ship in New York City.
