USS Momsen (DDG-92) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer named for Vice Admiral Charles B. Momsen, the pioneering submariner and engineer who invented the Momsen Lung escape device that saved survivors of the sunken USS Squalus in 1939. Homeported in Everett, Washington, Momsen has deployed to the Western Pacific with the Seventh Fleet, serving as an Aegis air-defense and Tomahawk strike platform for carrier strike groups.
