USS Porter (DDG-78) Spiral Notebook

USS Porter (DDG-78) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer named for the Porter family of naval officers, including Admiral David Dixon Porter, whose Mississippi River fleet operations helped divide the Confederacy and whose amphibious assault at Fort Fisher sealed the last major Confederate port in 1865. Forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, Porter serves with the Sixth Fleet, conducting ballistic-missile-defense operations in support of NATO.
