USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) — the "Gold Eagle" — deployed in 2021-2022, leading Carrier Strike Group 1 with Carrier Air Wing 2 embarked — the Navy's first fully integrated air wing to deploy with both the F-35C Lightning II and the CMV-22B Osprey.
