USS Chosin (CG-65) returned to the Western Pacific in 2007 during the sustained operations of OIF and OEF. While ground forces fought on two fronts, the Navy's surface fleet maintained constant forward presence across the Pacific. Chosin's crew stood the Aegis watch, supported theater ballistic missile defense, and kept the ship ready for anything — all while North Korea's advancing missile program made their mission increasingly vital. It was demanding, unglamorous work, and Chosin's sailors performed it with the spirit the ship's name has always demanded.
