USS Boxer (LHD-4) is a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship commissioned on February 11, 1995. Named for a distinguished line of Navy ships stretching back to the age of sail, she has served as one of the Pacific Fleet's premier power-projection platforms. During her 2013–2014 Western Pacific deployment, Boxer operated with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducting amphibious readiness exercises, maritime security operations, and theater security cooperation missions across the Indo-Pacific region. Ready to respond to any crisis at a moment's notice, her crew of Sailors and embarked Marines stood as America's forward-deployed force — disciplined, capable, and always ready to answer the call.
