How to measure: lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface. Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem (length), then compare to the chart.

The 1983 cruise placed USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) at the center of one of history's most turbulent years. The Cold War was at its most dangerous since the Cuban Missile Crisis — Soviet fighters shot down KAL 007 in September, the Beirut barracks bombing killed 241 Americans in October, and tense nuclear war exercises in November pushed both superpowers to the edge. Through it all, Carl Vinson's crew maintained the combat readiness that deterrence required. This long sleeve honors every sailor who stood the watch during the 1983 cruise.
