USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) Spiral Notebook

USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) is a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier commissioned on March 13, 1982, named for the Georgia congressman known as the "Father of the Two-Ocean Navy." She deployed during Operation Desert Storm and surged to the Arabian Sea following September 11, 2001. On May 2, 2011, she made history as the ship from which Osama bin Laden was buried at sea. Homeported in Bremerton, Washington.
