USS Chancellorsville (CG-62) is one of the U.S. Navy's premier Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers. Named for the Civil War Battle of Chancellorsville, she was commissioned in November 1989 and has served with distinction through the end of the Cold War, the Global War on Terror, and the Pacific Pivot era. Homeported at Naval Station San Diego, Chancellorsville has provided Aegis air and missile defense across the Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Persian Gulf — a proven guardian of the carrier strike groups she has sailed with across three decades of service.
