USS Constellation (CV-64) 2002-03 Cruise Shirt

This was the farewell cruise of a legend. USS Constellation (CV-64) deployed in late 2002 and sailed into history when Operation Iraqi Freedom launched on March 20, 2003. 'Connie's' air wing struck targets across Iraq from the very first night, flying missions alongside coalition forces as Saddam Hussein's regime collapsed. To serve aboard Constellation on her final deployment was to be part of something rare — a great ship going out the way she lived, in the fight. After 41 years of service spanning Vietnam, the Cold War, Desert Storm, and now Iraqi Freedom, USS Constellation decommissioned on August 7, 2003. This is the shirt of her last crew.
