How to measure: lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface. Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem (length), then compare to the chart.

USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) completed her inaugural Mediterranean deployment in 1979, barely two years after commissioning — putting the second Nimitz-class nuclear carrier to sea in earnest for the first time. The year would prove consequential: the Iranian Revolution, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and the seizure of American hostages in Tehran all unfolded as carrier forces surged to the region. Ike was part of the naval presence that signaled American commitment during one of the most turbulent periods of the Cold War. Named for the Supreme Allied Commander who led the liberation of Western Europe, she carried that legacy into the first full test of her career.
