How to measure: lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface. Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem (length), then compare to the chart.

In 2013, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) deployed to the Mediterranean as the Syrian civil war threatened to draw in American military force. When the Assad regime used chemical weapons against civilians, the United States and its allies prepared for potential strikes — and Ike stood ready in the Eastern Mediterranean. Though diplomacy ultimately prevailed, the deployment underscored the enduring importance of American sea-based power: the ability to project force, deter aggression, and hold the line without firing a shot.
